Privacy Policy

Overview

Color Decision is a professional ASC CDL color grading application for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro. This policy explains what data the app does and does not collect.

Short version: Color Decision collects no personal data. All processing happens on your device.

Data Collection

Color Decision does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. Specifically, the app does not collect:

• Your name, email address, or any account information
• Location data
• Usage analytics or crash reports sent to a third party
• Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, or similar)
• Behavioral data or interaction history
• Any other personal or sensitive data

Camera Access

Color Decision requests access to your device camera to preview ASC CDL grades applied in real time to a live camera feed. Camera frames are processed entirely on-device and are never saved, transmitted, or retained after you close the app.

The PRO upgrade includes manual camera controls (ISO, shutter speed, white balance). These controls do not change what happens to the image data — it is still processed on-device only.

You can deny or revoke camera access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera. The app’s CDL editing and file export functions remain available without camera access.

Photo Library Access

The PRO upgrade optionally allows you to load a still image from your photo library as a reference frame for grading. Photo library access is optional and is only requested when you choose to use this feature. Images are loaded directly into the app’s preview layer and are not copied, transmitted, or stored outside the app.

Grades and Exported Files

CDL grades you create are stored locally on your device. Exported .cdl and .ccc files are saved to your device or shared via the iOS/macOS system share sheet. We do not retain copies of your grades or exports.

In-App Purchases

The Color Decision PRO upgrade is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple through the standard StoreKit purchase flow. My Cinema Tools, LLC does not receive, store, or have access to your payment or billing information. Apple’s handling of purchase data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Services

Color Decision does not use any third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or crash reporting tools. There are no third-party integrations of any kind. The only external service involved is Apple’s App Store payment system for the PRO upgrade, which is managed entirely by Apple.

Children’s Privacy

Color Decision does not collect any data from users of any age, including children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If a future version of the app introduces any data collection, this policy will be updated before that version is released and users will be notified via App Store release notes.
